Author Guidelines

Article submitted to Al-Manar: Jurnal Kajian Alquran dan Hadis editorial board must follow these guidelines:

  1. The article should be based on scientific research.
  2. The article must be an original work and has not been published previously.
  3. The article should be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English.
  4. The article must be typed according to the template.
  5. The article should be approximately 4000-7,000 words long; however, both shorter and longer manuscripts will be considered.
  6. The abstract is written in both Bahasa Indonesia and English and is approximately 150-250 words long, with 5 maximum keywords.
  7. Full name(s) of the author(s) must be stated, along with his/her/their institution and email address.
  8. All submission document should be in the file format of Microsoft Word or RTF.
  9. All article manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by qualified academics in the field; this is a process that may take weeks or months.
  10. All notes must appear as citations in the footnote. References is recommended using reference management software i.e. ZOTERO or Mendeley in Chicago Manual style (full note).
  11. Arabic romanization should be written as follows: Letters: ’, b, t, th, j, ḥ, kh, d, dh, r, z, s, sh, ṣ, ḍ, ṭ, ẓ, ‘, gh, f, q, l, m, n, h, w, y. Short vowels: a, i, u. long vowels: ā, ī, ū. Diphthongs: aw, ay. Tā marbūṭā: t. Article: al-.
