It proposes the Mukhālaṭah concept as a preventive solution rooted in Prophetic hadiths. Employing a qualitative literature-based approach with a ma‘anil hadith methodology, the research analyzes primary sources, such as Fathul Bari by Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, and secondary materials, including journals and books on child development. Findings reveal that high screen time, averaging 5.7 hours daily among Indonesian children aged 0-6, significantly hinders language acquisition by reducing verbal interactions essential for cognitive and emotional growth, leading to speech delays affecting 5-10% of young children. Mukhālaṭah, derived from hadiths in Sahih Bukhari (indices 6129 and 6203) emphasizing interactive mingling and affectionate communication, promotes active parental engagement through play, empathy, and dialogue to stimulate language skills. The study introduces the SHIELD strategy (Serve, Hear, Interact, Engage, Limit, Develop) as a framework for implementing strategies to limit gadget exposure, foster responsive interactions, and create stimulating environments. Ultimately, this integrative Islamic approach empowers parents to counteract digital disruptions, ensuring holistic child development while aligning traditional values with modern challenges.
2025-12-20T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Adhim Rajasyah, Muhajirin Muhajirinhttps://almanar.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/al-manar/article/view/231Digital Transformation of Hizib Nahdlatul Wathan: Preserving Spiritual Heritage through Technology in the Living Qur’an2025-08-06T16:23:17+07:00Ela Sartikaelasartika@stiq.assyifa.ac.idIzzatul Arabarabizzatul@gmail.comDewi Rapintadewirapinta@gmail.com
This study investigates the digitization of the Hizib Nahdlatul Wathan recitation tradition among the Nahdlatul Wathan community in Lombok, Indonesia, within the framework of Living Qur’an studies. The Hizib Nahdlatul Wathan—a compilation of prayers, Qur’anic verses, and dhikr authored by TGKH Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Madjid—serves as a vital spiritual practice, a symbol of religious identity, and an instrument of organizational solidarity. Amidst technological advancements and challenges such as geographical barriers and the COVID-19 pandemic, the tradition has transitioned to digital platforms, including mobile applications, e-books, flipbooks, and online audio recitations. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive methodology that involves observation, interviews, and documentation, the research demonstrates that digitization significantly enhances accessibility, temporal flexibility, and intergenerational continuity, particularly engaging younger, technology-oriented generations while maintaining spiritual intent and authenticity. Community responses are predominantly positive, praising the enhanced convenience and interactive features. However, concerns persist regarding the diminished solemnity, reduced communal interaction, and potential over-reliance on technology compared to traditional congregational readings. Framed by the Living Qur’an perspective, digitization emerges as a revitalizing force rather than a degrading one, enabling sacred texts to remain dynamic and contextually relevant in the digital era. Nonetheless, challenges persist in preserving profound spiritual depth and social bonds. The study concludes that thoughtful technological integration effectively safeguards Nahdlatul Wathan’s spiritual heritage, providing valuable insights for harmonizing religious traditions with modern innovations.
2025-12-21T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Ela Sartika, Izzatul Arab, Dewi Rapintahttps://almanar.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/al-manar/article/view/172Takhrij of Hadiths on Tawazun: Core Values in Islamic Education from the Madrasah Textbook2025-07-29T20:04:55+07:00Anadita Veria Sandianaditav@gmail.comRomlah Abubakar Askarromlah.askar@yahoo.comAbdul Ghofurabdul.ghofur@uinjkt.ac.id
Tawāzun, or balance, is a core principle in Islamic education, emphasizing equilibrium between worldly and afterlife pursuits. In the Qur’an Hadith textbook for Grade VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah, published by Indonesia’s Ministry of Religious Affairs (2020), two hadiths on tawāzun serve as foundational tools for fostering students' balanced spiritual and social character. This study conducts takhrīj on these hadiths using a library research approach and sanad-matn analysis to trace their origins, authenticity, and embedded Islamic educational values. Findings reveal that both hadiths originate from authoritative sources in the kutub al-tis‘ah, particularly Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim and Sunan al-Nasā’ī. The first hadith (the Prophet’s supplication for the rectification of religion, worldly life, and the hereafter), narrated from Abū Hurairah, has a continuous (muttaṣil) sanad with all thiqah narrators, rendering it ṣaḥīḥ li-dhātihi. The second hadith (the parable of the world likened to water on a finger dipped in the sea), narrated from Mustawrid, is transmitted through five reinforcing chains, also deemed ṣaḥīḥ despite minor non-impactful textual variants. The hadiths convey key Islamic educational values, including moderation, responsibility, physical-spiritual harmony, and holistic awareness of life’s purpose. They are highly relevant for Islamic character education in madrasahs, fostering balanced, optimistic, and hereafter-oriented attitudes amid contemporary challenges of modernization and hedonism. This research fills a gap in takhrīj studies on madrasah textbooks and strengthens the validity of Islamic religious education materials in Indonesia.
2025-12-21T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Anadita Veria Sandi, Romlah Abubakar Askar, Abdul Ghofurhttps://almanar.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/al-manar/article/view/135Empowering Communities: Contextualizing Living Hadith on Mosque Building for Modern Islamic Development2025-10-12T14:56:50+07:00Ahmad Siddiq Setiawanahmadsidikzent319@gmail.comAmrullah Harunamrullahharun@iainpalopo.ac.idNasaruddinnasaruddin@uindatokarama.ac.id
This article examines the contextualization of hadith interpretation in relation to the construction of mosques at the Darul Muttaqin Mosque in Makassar City. The research stems from mosque management practices believed to be rooted in pro-phetic traditions (hadith). This article aims to understand the mosque administrators' comprehension of the hadith on mosque construction that forms the foundation of their understanding. This is a field study employing a descriptive-qualitative method, grounded in a phenomenological approach. Primary data was obtained through interviews, and secondary data was sourced from relevant literature. The research findings and discussion indicate that the administrators of the Darul Muttaqin Mosque understand the hadith on building mosques as encompassing not only the construction of a mosque from scratch, but also the management of the mosque through infrastructure improvements and community empowerment within the mosque, which are also considered essential components of building a mosque. The research demonstrates that the hadith on mosque construction can be contextualized beyond literal building to include ongoing management, infrastructure development, and community empowerment, providing a practical framework for modern mosque administration rooted in prophetic traditions. Additionally, it highlights the "living hadith" approach in a real-world setting, offering a model that integrates theological motivation with socio-economic initiatives to enhance mosques as multifaceted community hubs.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Ahmad Siddiq Setiawan, Amrullah Harun, Nasaruddinhttps://almanar.uinkhas.ac.id/index.php/al-manar/article/view/216Reinterpreting Hadiths Prohibiting Depiction of Living Beings through Gadamerian Hermeneutics in the Avatar Da'wah Trend2025-07-29T19:35:40+07:00Zubeir Ahmad Nasutionzubeirnasution627@gmail.comLilia Ulya Amalialiviaamalia3920@gmail.comMuhammad Fitriyadifitriyadi@uin-suska.ac.idAgustiaragustiar@uin-suska.ac.id
This article reexamines the hadith prohibiting the depiction of living creatures within the contemporary digital da'wah landscape, which increasingly relies on visual representation, particularly through the use of avatars. This hadith has often been understood textually and ahistorically, creating tension between religious norms and modern digital communication practices. This study examines the construction of the normative meaning of the hadith prohibiting drawing within the historical context of early Islam and how this meaning can be reinterpreted and contextualized within contemporary visual da'wah practices through the hermeneutical approach of Hans-Georg Gadamer. The method employed a qualitative approach based on library research, examining thematic hadiths, classical and modern scholarly commentary, and philosophical hermeneutics literature. The analysis is conducted through a hermeneutic dialogue between the text's horizon and the contemporary reader, emphasizing the historical-affective consciousness and the fusion of horizons. The study's results reveal that the prohibition served as a theological mechanism to maintain the purity of monotheism in early Islamic societies that still tended toward the cult of visual symbols. The use of avatar images in digital da'wah can be understood as a functional and communicative representational medium, not as a theological expression, as long as it does not contain elements of glorification or deviation from the creed. The novelty lies in the application of Gadamer's hermeneutics as an analytical framework to bridge the normative authority of hadith with the practice of avatar-based visual da'wah. These findings strengthen the methodology of hadith contextualization in addressing the dynamics of digital visual culture.
2025-10-12T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Zubeir Ahmad Nasution, Lilia Ulya Amalia, Muhammad Fitriyadi, Agustiar
