Al-Manar: Jurnal Kajian Alquran dan Hadis aims to encourage and promote the study of the Qur’an and Hadith from a wide range of scholarly perspectives. The topic covers all related issues on the study of the Quran and Hadith, including:

  1. Linguistic, Literary, and Thematic Perspective of the Qur’an and Hadith
  2. Qur’an and Hadith Commentaries
  3. The Qur’an, Hadith, and other relevan Traditions
  4. Methods and Approaches to the Qur’an and Hadith
  5. The Societal Qur’an and Hadith
  6. Translation of the Qur’an

Manuscript Types

Al-Manar: Jurnal Kajian Alquran dan Hadis accepts scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of Qur’anic and Hadith studies. Submissions must demonstrate academic rigor, originality, methodological clarity, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.

The journal considers the following types of manuscripts:

1. Original Research Articles

Articles presenting original findings based on qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research. These may include empirical studies, fieldwork, interviews, surveys, and investigations of Qur’anic and Hadith practices, interpretations, and traditions.

2. Textual and Historical Studies

Articles examining the Qur’an, Hadith, classical and contemporary exegesis, commentaries, manuscripts, intellectual traditions, and historical contexts through textual, philological, linguistic, historical, or other relevant scholarly approaches.

3. Conceptual and Theoretical Articles

Articles developing, critically examining, or applying theoretical frameworks, concepts, and methodologies to advance debates in Qur’anic and Hadith studies. Submissions must provide substantive scholarly arguments and demonstrate their contribution to existing scholarship.

4. Review Articles

Articles critically synthesizing existing scholarship on a clearly defined topic. Reviews may employ systematic, scoping, or other rigorous literature-review approaches, with transparent methods appropriate to the chosen approach. They must provide critical analysis and identify significant developments, debates, or research gaps rather than merely summarize previous studies.

General Requirements

All manuscripts must be original, academically rigorous, properly referenced, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submissions must comply with the journal’s author guidelines, publication ethics policies, and peer-review procedures.
